UCLA Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden – located on the northeast corner of campus, the Sculpture Garden was dedicated in 1967
and includes more than 70 works by some of the greatest sculptors, including Rodin and Matisse.

UCLA Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden – located near the Health Sciences complex, the Botanical Garden
hosts rare and native plant species from all over the world. (Hours 8am-5pm, closed on university holidays,

UCLA Hannah Carter Japanese Garden – located one mile from campus on 10619 Bellagio Road, Bel-Air. This authentic Kyoto-style
garden, a private gift to UCLA, is considered one of the most notable Japanese gardens in the United States. Many structures in the
garden, including the main gate, garden house, bridges and shrine, were built in Japan and reassembled here.

UCLA Powell Library - located North campus south of Royce Hall. The library opened in 1929 as one of the first four building on the Westwood campus, the library features a 63 foot high interior dome
supported by interlaced trusses with intricately painted ceiling panels. The octagonal tower resembles the Church of St. Sepolcro in Bologna, Italy, and the
main entrance is based on the church of San Zenove in Verona, Italy. Guided tours of Powell library are available.

UCLA Fowler Museum of Cultural History – located near Royce Quad (the four original buildings of UCLA).
Established in 1963, the Fowler Museum showcases art and material culture from Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Opened Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 5pm (until 8pm on Thursday), free admission. For more details,

UCLA Armand Hammer Museum of Art and Cultural Center (10899 Wilshire Blvd) – located in Westwood Village,
within walking distance from campus, the Hammer Museum primarily exhibits Impressionist and Post-Impressionist
paintings as well as contemporary art. Opened Tuesday through Sunday, admission is $5 for adults (free admission

UCLA Theaters (Royce Hall, Schoenberg Hall, Freud Playhouse, Pauley Pavilion, LA Tennis Center) –
these on-campus venues host a number of theater, music, dance, and spoken word events as well as

UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame – located in the J. D. Morgan Center, east of Pauley Pavilion, central campus. UCLA has won 100 NCAA championships, and since 1976 no school can match UCLA's record of Olympians and Olympic medals won by its present and
former athletes. The history of Bruin athletics is captured in the 8000-square foot Hall of Fame, home to the Heisman Trophy, the Wooden

The Getty Center (1200 Getty Center Drive) – located in the nearby Santa Monica Mountains,
the Getty Center hosts the J. Paul Getty Museum which features European paintings, sculptures
and decorative arts as well as European and American photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries.
In addition, visitors can enjoy the unique architectural design of the buildings as well as the
gardens which feature a natural ravine and hosts more than 500 plant varieties. The Getty Center
is easily accessible from UCLA by public transportation (MTA Bus Line 761) as well as by car or

Rodeo Drive (Beverly Hills) – a famous three-blocks stretch of shops and boutiques in Beverly Hills located between Wilshire Blvd and Santa
Monica Blvd. Rodeo Drive is known as one of the most famous and expensive shopping districts in the world.

Third Street Promenade – located in Santa Monica, just a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean.
In addition to a variety of retail stores and shops, the Promenade provides plenty of entertainment
as well, including movie theaters, playhouses and street performers. Just 20 minutes from UCLA by
