Welcome
Dear Prospective Graduate Student:
Congratulations on your admission to the Electrical Engineering Department at UCLA.
You are invited to attend the Prospective Graduate Student Recruitment Day on Friday, March 5, 2010, 8:00AM-7:00PM.
At this event, you will have the opportunity to meet with Electrical Engineering faculty and learn about their research and teaching interests.
You will also participate in school-wide events, as well as campus and lab tours.
March 4, 2010 Meet-and-Greet Event
Location: Coral Tree Walk near the UCLA Sculpture Garden
**The Meet-And-Greet event will include some current students, some faculty and prospective students attending the Open House event. It will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and will consist of light refreshments and a couple of games. This is a very informal way of meeting other people and is intended to provide prospective students with additional contact with faculty and current students that they may not have during the Open House event on March 5, 2010. Please RSVP for this event with Mandy Smith.

RSVP and Travel Arrangements
It is essential that you meet your initial faculty advisor, or a designated substitute faculty member if you wish to be nominated for a fellowship.
If you are interested in attending the open house, you will need to make your own travel arrangements. For travel costs, please note that:
- The UCLA Graduate Division and the Electrical Engineering Department have limited resources available for the cost of travel to help support campus visits by the most highly recruited students. No funding is guaranteed; however, the department does try to assist students who have attended the Graduate Student Open House.
- Please refer to the Travel Charges that will be considered for Reimbursement.
- Please direct any inquiries to Ms. Mandy Smith, Admissions Coordinator (phone: 310-825-9383).
- We also ask that you R.S.V.P. for this event by Email.
Please save all your original receipts to enable us to submit your travel expense claim.
