Bio:
Chad Sweet has been with Qualcomm for 11 years and is currently the Software Lead for the Corporate
R&D division's Augmented Reality project. He has a BE in Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt 
University, and has a number of patents pending in the area of wireless technology.
 
Abstract:
Qualcomm's Corporate R&D division is diversifying in to new areas beyond traditional wide- area 
wireless networks. This talk will give an overview on some of those areas and focus on
Qualcomm's research in to Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality is a promising new area being 
enabled by the state of the art features added to today's smart phones. Qualcomm is
currently researching the implications of sensor and computer vision assisted navigation in a
mixed reality world.
