Biography

Yuanxun Wang received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, China in 1993. He earned the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, in 1996 and 1999, respectively.

From 1993 to 1995, Dr. Wang worked as a graduate researcher at USTC on numerical methods and millimeter wave radar based instruments. From 1995 to 1999, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Texas at Austin, as a graduate research assistant working on radar scattering modeling and synthetic aperture radar imaging.

From 1999 to 2002, Dr. Wang worked as a research engineer and lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He has now joined the EE Dept. faculty and is an assistant professor since Nov. 2002. He is a member of IEEE and SPIE. Prof. Wang has authored and coauthored over 60 refereed journal and conference papers.

Research Interests
Professor Wang's current work is focused on high performance antenna array and microwave amplifier systems for wireless communication and radar, as well as numerical modeling techniques. His research interests feature the fusion of signal processing and circuit techniques in microwave system design.
