Welcome to the Optoelectronics Group Home Page.

Located in the UCLA School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Optoelectronics Group is headed by Prof. Eli Yablonovitch, a pioneer in the field of optoelectronics and photonic band-gap research.  Our laboratory is comprised of many talented and dedicated graduate and post-doctoral researchers.  Our work is focused on the exciting, innovative fields of optoelectronics, high speed optical communications, high efficiency light-emitting diodes and nano-cavity lasers, photonic crystals at optical and microwave frequencies, and quantum computing and communication.
