Biography

Dr. Heyrat received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1983. He has a B.S. and an M.S. in Physics from Shiraz University (formerly Pahlavi), Iran, and Sharif University (formerly Arya-Mehr), Iran, respectively. His areas of interest and research are in Mathematical Physics, QCD, and Electronics. Dr. Heyrat has taught at several universities, including UCLA, Cal-Poly Pomona, Cal State Northridge, and Northrop University, during the last 20 years. He has been teaching at Northrop Rice Aviation Institute of Technology for last 10 years, where he also has served as the Dean of Academics. Dr. Heyrat joined the Electrical Engineering Department at UCLA in January 2004.
