Prof. Aydogan Ozcan elected Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.

Aydogan Ozcan, Chancellor’s Professor, Electrical Engineering, and Bioengineering is one of four UCLA faculty members who has been elected Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering as part of the organization’s 2017 class.

Fellows are nominated each year by their peers and represent the top 2% of the medical and biological engineering community. They are recognized for significant contributions in academia, industry, government and education.  The College of Fellows includes 1,500 individuals who are the outstanding bioengineers in academia, industry and government.

The Electrical Engineering Department would like to acknowledge the other Faculty members.  They are: Eric Pei-Yu Chiou, Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Bioengineering; Tatiana Segura, Professor, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Bioengineering; Paul Weiss, UC Presidential Chair and Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry and of Materials Science and Engineering.
