Prof. Dolecek’s students, Ahmed Hareedy & Homa Esfahanizadeh, win Memorable Paper Award at NVMW 2018

Prof. Lara Dolecek’s Ph.D. students, Ahmed Hareedy and Homa Esfahanizadeh, won the inaugural Memorable Paper Award at the Non-Volatile Memories Workshop (NVMW) in the area of devices, coding, and information theory on March 13th, 2018, for their paper entitled “A Three-Stage Approach for Designing Non-Binary Spatially-Coupled Codes for Flash Memories.” Congratulations UCLA team!
This is the second best paper award for Ahmed as a UCLA PhD student. This is also the sixth best paper award for Prof. Dolecek’s research group in under 2.5 years.
