Professor Kang L. Wang has been selected to receive the 2015 Pan Wen Yuan Outstanding Research Award.

Professor Kang L. Wang has been selected to receive the 2015 Pan Wen Yuan Outstanding Research Award. Dr. Wang’s broad spectrum of contributions in semiconductor materials and devices has had an enormous impact in the semiconductor industry. His contributions extended to new directions of nanoarchitectures for information processing. Dr. Wang is visionary and is one of the leaders in nanoelectronics in the nation and in the world. His leadership and fundamental contributions in semiconductor/nanoelectronics research have profoundly impacted both academia and industry.

The award ceremony will be held on June 23, 2015 at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The Pan Wen Yuan Foundation Outstanding Research Award aims to commemorate outstanding local and foreign researchers of Chinese descent who have not only made theoretical innovations, experimental technique developments, production process enhancement or instrument production with international standards, but also led large-scale or integrative projects with excellent performance in the area of electronics, information technology, telecommunication and others.
