Salma Elmalaki selected as a 2016 Microsoft Research PhD Fellow.

Salma Elmalaki, a Ph.D. student in Prof. Mani Srivastava’s Networked and Embedded Systems Laboratory, was recently selected as a 2016 Microsoft Research PhD Fellows.
The MSR Fellowship is a highly prestigious and competitive two-year fellowship awarded by Microsoft Research to outstanding Ph.D. students in computing related areas. The fellowship covers all tuition, provides a living stipend, conference and travel allowance, and salaried internship.
Salma, who did her M.S. at UCLA as well, works in the mobile computing with a focus on operating system mechanisms for adaptation and privacy. Her research has also been recognized with the Best Paper Award as well as the Best Community Paper Award at the prestigious ACM Mobicom 2015 conference.
