Welcome to my homepage. I completed my Ph.D. in the Electrical Engineering department at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005. My dissertation research was focused on system architectures and VLSI implementations of secure embedded systems. As such, I was a member of the Embedded Security (EmSec) group at UCLA, which operates under the supervision of Professor Ingrid Verbauwhede. My broad research interests lie in embedded systems, digital IC design, security, and signal processing. After completing my PhD, I worked in industry on high-speed VLSI digital signal processing architectures.

I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees from UCLA, both in Electrical Engineering, and was supported by the Fannie and John Hertz Foundation graduate fellowship. I was at the Commercial Security and Industrial Cryptography (COSIC) group at the K.U. Leuven in Belgium from March 2004 until September 2004 as a visiting international scholar.

UPDATE: I am currently an assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at George Mason University. See my new website and contact info here: GMU website
