Louis L'Amour

I read my first L'Amour because I was in a place with no books and that was the only thing around. I was amazed. The book was so good that I immediately bought tons more. These aren't "cowboy" books like I thought. These are books about a time in the America, and a place, the old west. This stuff happenned, and the historian in me is fascinated by it all. Granted these books are about men that were men and the woman who loved them, but it's great. Ayn Rand said literature should be about man "as he ought to be". L'Amour fits this perfectly. L'Amour's books are great.
