Yen-Cheng Kuan received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree.
From 2004 to 2007, he was a system engineer at Realtek Semiconductor Corp., Irvine, CA, where he contributed to the design of Ultra-wideband (UWB) System-on-a-Chip. Since 2009, he has been with Hughes Research Laboratories (HRL), Malibu, CA, working on software-defined radios, compressed-sensing receivers, and multi-rate signal processing for high-speed ADCs. His current research interests include transceiver algorithm and implementation for millimeter wave (60 GHz) communication systems, mixed signal circuits, and communication standardizations.
