| My name's not Strope but I have a Strope(s) family in my tree that I'm
| looking for info on. My Stropes were in the Greene/Jefferson/Sevier Co.
| area of East Tennessee around 1800. I don't know who they were or where
| they went. If you have corresponded with Stropes who have roots in East
| Tennessee I would love to contact them. The only names I have are,
| Nancy Stropes who had a daughter named Diana Carter (from a previous
| marriage ?). Nancy died by 1813 as Diana was placed under the
| guardianship of a William Cate at that time. Other names on the
