Before coming to UCLA, I earned my MSc degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro . My interest on adaptive filtering comes from the work I developed there with Dr. Paulo Diniz.
My areas of research at UCLA are:
Speech Coding for Wireless Systems
Acoustic Echo Cancellation
Echo Cancellation for Telephone Lines
Feedback Reduction for Hearing Aids
I have 12 publications in IEEE Conferences and Journals, available upon request.
At UCLA, I had the opportunity of working in the UCLA WAMIS project on developing a real-time speech CODEC for wireless systems.
