Recent
tools for the analysis and design of hybrid systems with an emphasis on
their robustness properties are shown to be relevant in the design of
robust hybrid control systems. Relying on these results, advanced
control strategies are synthesized in hybrid controllers, with logic
variables or discrete states, timers, etc., to accomplish robust and
global stabilization tasks. Several engineering applications illustrate
the new control strategies.
