Dr. Tiri received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2005. His Ph.D. dissertation, Design for Side-Channel Attack Resistant Security ICs, was selected as the 2005 EDAA Outstanding Dissertation in New Directions in Embedded System Design. Before joining Intel Corporation in 2006, Dr. Tiri was a Senior Hardware Engineer at Nvidia in Santa Clara, California. He is currently a Research Scientist at the Platform Validation Architecture group of Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon. He authored or co-authored several pending patent applications and more than 25 scientific papers.
