Abstract: In this session, you will learn how MATLAB can be used to visualize and analyze complex data, perform numerical computations, and develop algorithms in the areas of data analytics and machine learning. Through live demonstrations and examples, you will see how MATLAB can help you tackle complex data analysis problems and be more effective in your research computing. Highlights include:

Access, process and visualize big and complex data

Prototype, test and refine predictive models using machine learning

Scale up using parallel, GPU and cluster computing

Share results as reports and interactive Apps on various platforms

Key new features and capabilities in MATLAB

Biography: Sumit Tandon is a Senior Customer Success Manager at MathWorks. He has a BE in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, India and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been at MathWorks for over 11 years, advising MATLAB users in the industry and academia in the domains of image processing, computer vision, physical system modeling and simulation, embedded systems, data analytics and high-performance computing. In his current role he partners with academic institutions on the most effective use of MathWorks products for curriculum and research. Sumit is a member of IEEE and the MathWorks industry partner for ECEDHA.
