James Dyson Award Open for Entries from Engineers

The 2021 James Dyson Award is open for entries and is on the hunt for bright ideas from students across the globe. The international competition run by Dyson’s charity, the James Dyson Foundation, aims to encourage and inspire the next generation of engineers by providing them with an opportunity to win prize money and gain global media exposure for their inventions.

The competition operates in 28 countries and regions and is open to current engineering and design university students, and those within four years of graduating. The challenge is simple: design something that solves a problem.

On May 5, from 12pm-1pm ET, The James Dyson Foundation is hosting an upcoming James Dyson Award info-session and Q+A. All engineering and design students who are interested in learning about the award are welcome to attend the free virtual event.

During the 60-minute session, a Dyson engineer will walk students through Dyson’s design process and how it can help with entries into this year’s award. Our 2020 James Dyson Award International Winner, Judit Giró Benet, will then provide an overview of the award and share tips on what makes a winning entry. The last 30 minutes will be open for any questions for both our engineer and Judit! To sign-up, click here.
