Bay Area EE alumnae and UCLA EE Professor Danijela Cabric gathered at the home of alumna Lisa Falkson for brunch, conversation, and an update on events and activities in the Electrical Engineering Department.

On Sunday, March 19, 10 Bay Area EE alumnae and UCLA EE Professor Danijela Cabric gathered at the home of alumna Lisa Falkson for brunch, conversation, and an update on events and activities in the Electrical Engineering Department.  Those attending were Prof Danijela Cabric MS ’01, Melissa Erickson ’12, Lisa Falkson MS ’98, Eleanor Lee ’08, MS ’10, Tiyasa Mitra MS ’14, Sherri Reznik ’09, Marisa Stansfield ’99, Jennifer Tsau ’11, Rutuja Ubale MS ’16, Cheryl Verceles ’07, and Kate Wang MS ’15.  Prof Cabric presented an overview of the many exciting changes and initiatives taking place in the Department including the Alumnae Advisory Board, IEEE WATT (Women Advancing Tech through Teamwork), and the Fast Track to Success Program.

The group discussed ways to be involved in recruiting and retaining women in Electrical Engineering, reminisced about their experiences at UCLA, and learned about each other’s unique career paths since graduation.  The group plans to meet annually, and will be speaking with high school students about STEM education and careers during the year.
