Deepesh Data, Prof. Diggavi’s Post-Doc, wins ACM India PhD Dissertation Award (Honourable Mention)

Deepesh Data, Prof. Diggavi’s Post-Doc, has won the ACM India PhD Dissertation Award (Honourable Mention) for his dissertation “Communication Complexity and Characterization Results in Secure Computation.” He was nominated by Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai.

The ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award was established in 2011. This award recognizes the best doctoral dissertation from a degree-awarding institution based in India for each academic year, running from August 1 of one year to July 31 of the following year. The ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award is accompanied by a prize of ₹ 2,00,000, and the winning dissertation will be published in the ACM Digital Library. In case of a joint award, the award amount will be shared among the recipients. This award is additionally supported by Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS).
