Distinguished Prof. Yahya Rahmat-Samii announces his Co-Authored Book – Surface Electromagnetics

Distinguished Professor Yahya Rahmat-Samii co-authored an edited book with his former PhD student, Prof. Fan Yang, who is now a full professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. The book is entitled, “Surface Electromagnetics with Applications in Antenna, Microwave and Optical Engineering.”  The book is published by Cambridge University Press, June 2019, with over 550 pages and 200 illustrations. The twelve chapters of the book are written by the leading experts in the field and provide systematic coverage of theory, physics, functional designs and engineering applications of advanced engineered electromagnetic surfaces including various aspects of meta material surfaces. Additionally an appendix, “Representative Literature Review on Surface Electromagnetics” provides a comprehensive and up-to-date collection of the most important publications in the field. This is the first book on this topic.  More information can be accessed at www.cambridge.or/9781108470261.  Prof. Rahmat-Samii and Prof. Yang also published a well-cited book in 2009 entitled, “Electromagnetic Band Gap Structures in Antenna Engineering,” also published by Cambridge University Press.
