Professor Danijela Cabric of the UCLA Samueli School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been selected to receive the 2020 Qualcomm Faculty Award. The Qualcomm Faculty Award (QFA) supports key professors and their research at top universities through a $75,000 donation to the university itself. The award is among the corporation’s highest honors and is part of its University Relations program, the goal of which is to foster closer relationships, to collaborate on groundbreaking research, and to recruit the most talented graduate students.

Professor Cabric leads CORES research laboratory (Cognitive Reconfigurable Embedded Systems) that focuses on the theoretical modeling, algorithmic development, system implementation and experimental validation of the emerging wireless technologies including 5G millimeter-wave communications, distributed communications and sensing for Internet of Things (IoT), and machine learning for wireless networks co-existence and security.
