Biography
Jason Speyer is a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a joint appointment in Electrical Engineering. He received his B.S. degree in (Aeronautics & Astronautics from MIT in 1960 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University in 1965 and 1968, respecitvely. He was Harry H. Power Professor of Engineering at the University of Texas, Austin (1876-1989) before moving to UCLA. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
Research Interests
Stochastic and deterministic optimal control and estimation with application to aerospace systems; guidance, flight control, and flight mechanics.
