IEEE 2024 Newly Elevated Fellow: Professor Lei He

The IEEE announced their 2024 class of Elevated Fellows. Professor Lei He has been elevated to IEEE Fellow status for his contributions to integrated circuits and smart energy systems. Congratulations!

Professor Mona Jarrahi received the 2023 IEEE Sensors Council Advanced Career Technical Achievement Award

Professor Mona Jarrahi received the 2023 IEEE Sensors Council Advanced Career Technical Achievement Award for the pioneering contributions to terahertz sensing and imaging systems. This award honors a person with outstanding technical contributions in sensing technologies.

Professors Benjamin Williams, Aydin Babakhani & Subramanian Iyer from ECE and Mitchell Spearrin from MAE were awarded an NSF FuSe Grant

Professors Benjamin Williams, Aydin Babakhani, and Subramanian Iyer from ECE, as well as Mitchell Spearrin from the MAE department, have been awarded an NSF FuSe (Future of Semiconductors) grant entitled “Electronic-photonic heterogeneous integration for sensing above 1 THz.” They will investigate a novel scheme to integrate BiCMOS THz generator chips with III-V terahertz laser amplifier chips to push operating frequencies well above 1 THz for sensor systems.
