Four Electrical and Computer Engineering Professors are Elected IEEE Fellows

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is proud to announce that four of its professors have been elected Fellows of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) [from top left clockwise]:

Prof. Warren Grundfest for contributions to the development of minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Prof. Mona Jarrahi for contributions to terahertz technology and microwave photonics.

Prof. Chee Wei Wong for contributions to silicon nanophotonics.

Prof. Yuanxun Ethan Wang for contributions to time-varying and nonlinear electromagnetic devices and systems.

The IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. IEEE Fellow is the highest grade of membership and is recognized by the technical community as a prestigious honor and an important career achievement.
