I²BL presents Design Guidelines and a Sensing System for Wearable Drug Monitoring

The research paper led by Shuyu Lin and Dr. Bo Wang from Professor Emaminejad’s Interconnected and Integrated Bioelectronics Lab (I²BL) is featured in the Chemical & Engineering News (C&EN). In this paper, which is published in the ACS Sensors journal, the authors describe a design framework and demonstrate a wireless sensing system for noninvasive wearable electroactive drug monitoring. The establishment and clinical validation of such technology will potentially pave the path for providing real-time insight into a patient’s medicine metabolism, which helps doctors build personalized drug-response profiles for optimal drug dosing.
