Zhuyun (Maggie) Xiao, Prof. Rob Candler’s PhD student, was awarded the Edward K. Rice Outstanding M.S. Student Award.

Zhuyun (Maggie) Xiao, PhD student in ECE under the supervision of Prof. Rob Candler, was awarded the Edward K. Rice Outstanding M.S. Student Award for the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering.

Zhuyun (Maggie) Xiao MS ’17 was the outstanding master’s student. Xiao, who is advised by Professor Rob Candler, conducts research on magnetism at the nanoscale. She is a member of the NSF-funded center for Translational Applications of Nanoscale Multiferroic Systems, or TANMS. Xiao is spending this academic year at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where she is a graduate fellow.
